In the months of March and April, the Physics 1 students completed a unit on the application of their physics knowledge. The students had a choice between designing and testing either an egg crate or a mousetrap car. The egg crate design needed to keep a raw egg from cracking/breaking when dropped from the 2nd floor balcony. The mousetrap car was a designed car that had to be solely powered by the energy of a mousetrap and travel a distance of 7 meters or further. The students had to design, test and then apply their project to physics concepts learned throughout the year.
